Anasearch exercises combine features of anagrams, crosswords, and word-searches. You will strengthen circuits primarily in the left side of your brain. These include your frontal regions (“Broca’s” area where meaning of language is processed), temporal region above your ear (“Wernikes” area where physical formation of words is processed), and prefrontal regions behind your forehead where Executive planning skills and concentration are processed, and where Working Memory holds data in mind temporarily while it is compared with other related data or alternatives.

Click instructions for more details about how to work with anasearch exercises.

Each number in the Clues and in the boxes of the grid corresponds to a letter of the alphabet. 1=A, 2=B and so on to 26=Z. Type the correct letter into each box of the grid. On a note pad write down the letters that correspond to the numbers in each of the Clues. Then, unscramble the resulting word (or words) to make another word (or words) that fit with the hint given for each Clue. Write those answer words on your note pad and check them off as you locate and circle each one within the grid. The answer words in the grid may run diagonally in either direction, up as well as down, and across in both directions.

Active box show green. Wrong answers show red. Right answers are black.
